County approves wastewater policies

Rocky View council unanimously approved new wastewater policies, May 10, which will see the County take responsibility over communal wastewater systems in future developments.The policies spell out the types of systems that the County will own and defines how they will be operated and maintained. “I definitely support this,” said Councillor Paul McLean of the Communal Wastewater System Management Policies. “It has been a long time coming.” The policies define three levels of infrastructure, including regional wastewater systems, similar to the one that currently exists in Langdon; decentralized systems, which are smaller communal systems and private sewage treatment here to read more.
